Maintaining a healthy relationship under the stresses of day-to-day living is difficult under any circumstances. Enter Covid-19 and the overturning of most of our routines,and the massive additional stress is more than many partnerships can take. You may be finding that your current skills — in clear communications, conflict resolution, balancing responsibilities, and the impact of trauma on your lives — are no longer sufficient. We’ve been married for 25 years. We have kids and grandkids. Our family blends race, religion, sexuality, politics and more. Our relationship has weathered mental illness, cancer, infertility, children’s hospitals, the dying and death of parents and other close relations. We’ve wrestled with it all and come out stronger. Whatever you are experiencing, it won’t scare us. Likely, we’ve been there too.
