Clients
Our approach to working with our clients is always about collaboration. We begin with inquiry and listen deeply for the change you want to see happen in your organization. Then we work closely with you every step of the way of transformation. We rarely come to you with a preconceived, prescriptive formula for what you need to do. Instead we co-create customized strategies, tactics and actions as we go. The process is dynamic, powerful and life-changing. As a result we stay in relationship with our clients long after our formal association. For example two of the top executives we worked most closely with at Nike, Sarah Severn and Darcy Winslow, beginning more than 20 years ago are still friends and colleagues today. That story is repeated in most every system we’ve worked in.

Testimonials
“We were at a workshop on sustainability 7 years ago with Sara Schley. She turned to me and said, ‘Eileen, they need you to commit to this’ I stood up and said, ‘Yes, we have to do this!’ That was a turning point for me and for the company. As seemingly impossible as it was, it was utterly the right thing to do! We’ve never looked back”
“Your work helped set Nike on a journey of sustainability from which there is no return. A decade later the impacts of the program that you designed and ran still resonate deeply with the organization and within the 100 leaders who became true agents of change. It’s amazing how powerful the legacy has been. It created and launched dozens of landmark projects that continue to deliver against our 2020 goals. These 100 leaders continue to influence Nike’s work around the world.”
“Sara Schley and Joe Laur got us to have a real conversation with each other. They helped us to understand how connected a sustainable enterprise is to a healthy world. Seed Systems enabled us to identify actions we could take to manifest our vision of a sustainable energy business.”
The culture at Plug Power, a publicly traded fuel cell company, was complex and ill adapted to be successful. We invited Joe Laur and Sara Schley of Seed Systems to evaluate the Plug Power culture. Working together we defined a process and took more than 570 employees in groups of 30-40 through a multi-day learning process, over the course of several years. Joe and Sara are skilled facilitators, deeply knowledgeable, and warmly embraced by all the employees. The foundation-building process which they led us through galvanized our culture and positioned us to be the best in our industry.”
